One!

A couple days before turning one Nolan got his first haircut.  His hair was so long it covered his eyes and his ears.  I was hesitating to cut his hair because I knew it was going to make him look like a little boy and not a baby anymore.  He was pretty unhappy about it but didn't squirm too much.

Here he is with his first birthday cake.  He looks so much older!  He had fun playing in his cake but didn't really eat any of it.

Meghan enjoyed jumping into the pile of leaves Kevin raked from our front yard.

Nolan has learned to stand and take a few steps.  He still resorts to crawling after the first few steps because it's faster for him than walking.  Maybe one of these days he will actually walk.

We had an ice storm here this last weekend which kept us inside for a few days.  Meghan and Nolan enjoyed playing together!

Halloween and a Birthday

Nolan's first Halloween started off with funny faces.

In the evening we dressed the kids up to go trick-or-treating.  Nolan was supposed to be a dinosaur but really looks more like an alligator.  Meghan was Periwinkle, Tinkerbelle's sister.  We couldn't find a white wig so we had to settle for white hairspray.

Meghan turned 5.  These past 5 years have been awesome.  Meghan is such a smart and sweet little girl.  On her Birthday I asked her some questions and here are her answers:
