Happy Halloween!

Meghan helped me bake cookies yesterday. The picture is a little dark. Kevin had his finger in front of the flash.

Meghan camped out in our bed this morning.

She wanted to help carve the pumpkin but all she kept saying was "yucky".

Of course she also had to get into our candy bucket.

After trick or treating, with a lollipop in her mouth.

Fun With Friends

Friday we went to Scare on the Square in downtown McKinney with some friends. All the businesses on the downtown square were giving out candy. It was a total madhouse and, as you can tell from this picture, the girls were more interested in animal crackers.

Later we were going to go out to dinner. Meghan wanted to wear her tutu. It matched her Halloween kitty sweatshirt. After she was dressed Meghan wanted me to take a picture of her. The way she poses cracks me up. This picture exemplifies her; goofy, sassy, and cute as can be.

The restaurant we went to was western themed. It is a big barn and they have a live band and a great dance floor. The girls loved it.

Even the daddies danced with the girls!

Meghan's favorite thing was when the band took a break because the slide opened. This slide is tall, steep, and fast. It was really fun. Meghan giggled every time we went down it.

I Know, I Know

I have become terrible at updating this blog. I used to have such a great routine of doing the blog after Meghan went to sleep. Unfortunately, since she has decided 9:00 is a good bedtime I haven't been keeping up. I am making it my goal to get better at this.

So, for now, here is a picture from a couple weeks ago when we were in Oregon for a wedding. It is my brother, Alex, and Meghan.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin farm this last weekend. Meghan enjoyed petting the animals and watching daddy feed them.

Meghan picked the perfect pumpkin...

and then decided to return it to the vine.

She took a ride on a John Deer...Ok, not really, but she loved playing on it.

Flowers, Pumpkins, and Airplanes

Meghan and I were at the store Thursday and decided to buy a pumpkin. Meghan really wanted to pick it up but it was just too heavy.

She was also trying to sniff the flowers.

Tonight's entertainment included soaring through the air like an airplane on Daddy's feet.

Meghan had to take a few breaks to put on chapstick, her new obsession.

Busy Bees

So, life around here has been pretty busy. I finally have some time to update you all on our happenings. We have been slowly getting our house put together and enjoying some time outside since it is finally beginning to cool down.

These days one of Meghan's favorite things to do is read. She has four favorite books that we read multiple times a day. She can even call them by name. She is also starting to read to herself. It's really just gibberish but she is doing it while turning the pages, which she turns in the correct direction.

This weekend we went to Oktoberfest with our friends. I was trying to get Meghan and her friend Katelyn to both look at the camera. This is the best I could get. Meghan had a great time petting animals and dancing to the Polka.

Another one of Meghan's favorite things to do is "cook". She pushes her chair over to the counter and gets out the measuring cups and spoons. She then puts her concoctions in the toaster oven (don't worry, it isn't plugged in). I think we may need to get her a play kitchen.

The little Diva. Even though you can't see them she is trying to show off her toenails that are the same color as her tutu. She'll tell you they are "Pree", aka pretty.

Projects

Meghan, sporting her cat shirt tonight. Kevin's parents brought it back from their trip to Greece.

It seems like our weekends lately are filled with projects. Last weekends project was this:
It was a desk for Kevin's office that came in about a hundred pieces. Meghan helped but then crashed on the couch (see above).
What will be our project for this weekend.....?
